Certificate in Spiritual Direction
Deepen Your Calling. Companion Others in Faith.
The Certificate in Spiritual Direction is a non-credit program for individuals called to the Ministry of spiritual companionship. Through a cohort model, students grow in prayerful listening, theological reflection, and contemplative practice.
The program prepares certificate graduates to serve as spiritual directors in both individual and group settings, integrating prayerful presence, discernment, and practical ministry tools.
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is a prayerful, confidential practice where a trained companion helps others notice and respond to God’s presence in one’s life.
Is this program for you?
You may be called to spiritual direction if you:
- Feel drawn to accompany others in their spiritual lives with compassion and prayerful presence.
- Listen deeply and without judgment, and others often seek you out for guidance or conversation about faith.
- Desire to deepen your own spiritual life through contemplative practice and theological reflection.
- Sense a call to ministry beyond preaching or teaching – a ministry of presence, discernment, and spiritual companionship.
If any of these resonate with you, this program may be your next faithful step.
